Application In underlay for discontinuous roofing, to protect the roof and optimise the thermal properties of the insulation against snow run-off and wind. Installation In tensioned installation on rafters or trusses with a maximum centre distance of 90 cm, with counter-battens for strong mechanical support. The minimum size of the counter-batten is 36X20 mm. The overlap between strips is 20 cm for a roof pitch of less than 30%, otherwise 10 cm. A ventilated air gap of 20 mm must be furnished between the underside of the under roof membrane and either the insulation or a continuous supporting body such as a rafter. The roof covering must be installed no later than 8 days after the installation of the under roof membrane.
